CARDIOVASCULAR SURGERY PEDIATRIC INTENSIVE CARE
Every patient whose vital functions are impaired to carry a life-threatening risk is defined as a critical patient. In Pediatrics CVS Intensive Care Unit, critical multidisciplinary approach provides vital support to pediatric patients for 24 hours. Our Pediatrics CVS Intensive Care Unit serves as 3rd level 29 beds. These intensive care units are designed as single beds with 24 beds.
Children are very different from adults with their metabolism, physiology and psychology. Because of the different diseases and treatments in childhood, critically ill children in this age group are treated in pediatric intensive care units.
Treatment and monitoring of critical pediatric patients are performed with artificial respirators, monitors and dialysis devices in pediatric intensive care units. All laboratory tests and imaging tests can be performed on pediatric patients hospitalized in the pediatric intensive care unit.
In our unit where all critical pediatric patients are accepted, all follow-up, treatment and care services related to the patient are carried out by the employees of the department since the patient's acceptance.
