DIABETIC PATIENT EDUCATION (Diabetes Education Nursing)
Purpose:
In line with our hospital’s mission, vision, procedures, and directives, the aim is to improve the quality of life of patients with diabetes and their relatives by meeting their education, care, and counseling needs; to provide preventive healthcare services to individuals at risk of diabetes and their relatives; to follow developments related to diabetes; to plan and deliver education to diabetic patients, their relatives, and all healthcare professionals in parallel with these developments; and to reflect these advancements in all diabetes-related areas within the hospital.
Diabetes Education Nurse
The Diabetes Education Nurse carries out activities under the supervision of the Healthcare Services Manager.
Education-Related Activities
Our Education System
Diabetes education is provided by our diabetes education nurse to all inpatients and outpatients who apply to our hospital and are identified as needing diabetes education.
Physicians or nurses submit a request to the diabetes education nurse through the Nucleus system to ensure that the patient’s diabetes education needs are met. The nurse then provides education tailored to the patient’s specific needs.
Diabetes Patient School Programs
