Purpose:
In line with our hospital’s mission, vision, procedures, and directives, the purpose is to increase, coordinate, and support education, research, development, and innovation activities in healthcare; establish effective coordination structures; enhance sustainability in education and R&D activities; and ensure that all activities are carried out efficiently and centrally.
Education and R&D Team:
The Education and R&D Unit operates under the Deputy Chief Physician responsible for education and consists of a unit supervisor and unit staff.
Education-Related Activities:
1. Our Education System:
Our education program covers all training provided to ensure that personnel work efficiently, accurately, and quickly in their positions; develop themselves; and acquire the skills required for their duties. Trainings are conducted as planned, unplanned, or orientation programs:
Planned Trainings: Trainings determined and approved by the Education and R&D Unit. This includes in-service trainings and authorization trainings.
Unplanned Trainings: Trainings not included in the annual training plan but requested by hospital management or units, evaluated and approved by the education committee, and conducted by internal or external trainers.
Orientation Trainings: Trainings provided to all hospital staff, including newly hired personnel in medical and administrative departments, as well as contracted/supplier staff.
All in-service training plans are entered into the Ministry of Health TSİM system, and training results are recorded in the ÇKYS system.
Types of Trainings Provided: General orientation, on-the-job adaptation, in-service trainings, quality trainings, mandatory Ministry of Health trainings (basic and advanced life support, occupational health training, etc.), and external trainings (conferences, symposiums, seminars, etc.).
2. Determining Training Needs:
Training needs are determined based on hospital staff roles and departments, hospital goals and strategies, and training needs analyses. Revisions in training topics are made according to institutional, departmental, and individual needs, and the Deputy Chief Physician responsible for Education and R&D is informed of these revisions.
The annual training plan covers internal and external trainings. Planning for in-service trainings outside these categories is also done annually. Departments such as Laboratory, Radiology, Pharmacy, Nuclear Medicine, and Healthcare Services prepare annual in-service training plans and submit them to the hospital’s Education and R&D Unit. The Education and R&D Unit monitors the implementation of the in-service training plan and makes revisions as necessary.
3. Education Committee:
Education committee meetings are organized by the Education and R&D Unit and monitored together with the Deputy Chief Physician responsible for education. The committee meets four times a year.
Research and Development (R&D) Activities:
Maintains records of scientific studies and healthcare R&D projects/activities conducted within the institution and periodically shares them with relevant units.
Announces trainings, courses, and seminars announced by the Ministry of Health.
Establishes collaboration with organizations supporting R&D projects.
Supports internal scientific studies.
