THE FIRST HEART SURGERY IN SİİRT SUCCESSFULLY PERFORMED
The first open-heart surgery in the history of Siirt Training and Research Hospital was successfully performed as part of a strategic cooperation initiative.
During this historic operation, Prof. Dr. Oruç Alper Onk, Op. Dr. Abdül Kerim Buğra, and Specialist Dr. Adnan Atak from our hospital took part in the procedure, along with operating room nurse İsmail Yıldız, anesthesia technician Mehmet Ufuk Bedir, perfusionist Ramazan Bacaksız, and intensive care nurse İbrahim Ayata.
This achievement marks an important milestone in the development of cardiovascular surgery services in Siirt and represents one of the most concrete examples of strong inter-institutional cooperation and the sharing of expertise among healthcare professionals.
